writer's envy is threatening to consume me.

i will never be able to convey ideas as clearly or blisteringly as the way others have done in the things i've been reading. i know i have my own writer's "voice" and all that, but i'm becoming more and more convinced that it doesn't have anything good to say.

i feel like a fucking failure right now.

i'm going to blame it on residual pms, i think.

I know exactly what you mean. Writer's envy is a dreadful phenomenon.

I deal with writer's envy fairly often, but it doesn't normally bog me down like this. I've been reading the angst entries posted in the rd_challenge, and there are some that I found so stirring and well-written that it was making me kind of want to give up.
