Why didn't anybody TELL me that Rupert had been on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson?

WAARGH!

LOOKIT HIS THIGHS OMF.

Goddammit. The words "ice cream man" should not sound so... nnngh. :hits him:

Craig: "Do you realise the effect of this?! The child sees the ice cream and he hears the thing, thinking 'Ice Cream Man! Ice Cream Man!,' runs out, it's the ice cream man, RON WEASLEY IS DRIVING THE DAMN ICE CREAM TRUCK and it doesn't stop!"

From a recent Q & A with Rupert Grint:

5. What's your TV guilty pleasure?
The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross.

*blinks owlishly*

O_O

Ok.

Dearest Mr. Grint,

I realise that I am already happily married. I am also very aware of the fact that there are loads of women ahead of me in the line of those who seek your affections.

But someday -- you and I need to be married for a day. Just one day.

We'll eat pizza and ice cream. We can watch Bob Ross paint happy little trees and play video games. I'll even kill spiders for you should any be lurking about. It will be just the sweetest little day-long love affair.

Love,
Mo

Because I already thought he was the dearest thing ever -- what with his laid back style, his quiet disposition, the fact that he owns an ice cream truck and so many other things.

But this. This just seals it.

See, Bob Ross was...omg, he was so awesome. I remember my mom and I used to sit and watch him paint his happy little trees and pretty little mountains and we just loved him so much. It broke my heart when he died. My goodness, it's been 12 years now.

But yeah. Rupert, please stop being so goddamned loveable. It's starting to hurt. :p

Wow.

Did you know that Rupert Grint can play pool?

I didn't.

And considering that I just wrote a R/D scene where Ron is showing Draco the basics of playing pool, this was a very wrong thing for me to learn about at 8:24 this morning.

Yeah. It took me over an hour to get my mind right about it.

Rupert, you and I are not friends anymore x 187198197101845986.

So, [livejournal.com profile] mightyafrodite and I headed out to see "Driving Lessons (DL)" over the weekend.

Before I start in with the Rupertgush, let me say that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie -- and not just because Rupert is in it.

Although we went out there expecting a mediocre flick, we were both pleasantly surprised.

I enjoyed it from start to finish, and normally, I don't care for those coming-of-age/voyage-of-self-discovery type movies. They're so cliche' that they can be painful to watch. DL is cliche' as well, I won't deny it, but in my opinion the performances (chiefly Julie Walters', Laura Linney's and Rupert's) save the movie and make it enjoyable. The fact that Rupert is just so pretty in this movie certainly didn't hurt, either. :)

It features a Ben Folds song in it too. This movie really does love me.

I want the soundtrack.

Another pleasant surprise was that Rupert, besides being hot molten sex, really is a talented actor.

As the HP movies have been the only thing I've seen him in (I haven't seen Thunderpants...yet), I didn't really have a clear idea of him as an actor. I mean, let's face it, as much as I adore the character of Ron Weasley, Movie!Ron isn't all that complicated, is he? Movie!Ron sort of goes like this:

*says something funny/witty/sarcastic*
"I'm mad because I'm poor."
"Harry always gets everything." *poutpout*
"I want Hermione, but she's too busy trying to keep Viktor out of her underwear." *poutpoutseethe*
"Malfoy's a slimy git." (Even though we're totally in love/lust with each other. Why do you think we fight so much?)
*is sullen*
*is afeared*
*screams and/or whimpers about spiders/ghosts/Dark Lords/peas/whatever*
*makes WTF? face*
"Bloody hell."

Rupert really shines in DL. There's an ease...a natural-ness about his acting style and he just fits right into the character. It doesn't feel like he's playing Ron Weasley playing Ben Marshall, which is what I was afraid of. I think he has a very promising career as an actor and I hope he continues to get opportunities like this one.

Now for the Rupertgush. If you're not a fan, don't even bother clicking here. Srsly. )

[livejournal.com profile] mightyafrodite,

Driving Lessons is FINALLY going to open at the Maple Art Theatre on Friday, December 1. Are we there?

I sure hope so...I'm starting to tweak. :p

My treat. XD
sexyscholar: (My Babies)
31 doesn't feel any different from 30.

My birthday was this past Saturday. Thank you for the birthday wishes! Also, a happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] freakout, whom I just found out was also Saturday. That makes 5 people I know personally with that birthdate. \m/

The day was pretty quiet, which was a good thing, believe it or not. We've done birthday parties for the last couple of Saturdays, so it was nice to just sit around the house. I played a lot of Play-Doh with the girls, who kept making me "cakes" and "cookies" that I had to pretend to eat. :p Kieran fell down 1982038474 times (he's starting to walk) and got back up 1982038474 times.

I finally have some pictures.

You say it's your birthday? )

Yesterday, we had to take The Hubby to the emergency room. While he was doing some construction work, he fell through an overhang and landed on some stairs. He's bruised up pretty badly, but nothing was broken, thankfully. Maybe he'll let us wait on him for a change. Doubt it, though.

Been putting the final touches on Halloween costumes. Malu is going to be a witch, while Hoku is doing something very different...she's decided to be Da Qiao, of Romance of the Three Kingdoms fame. It should be very cool. I had a dalmatian costume for Kieran that I have to find. Hopefully the weather will hold; it's supposed to rain.

On Friday, [livejournal.com profile] mightyafrodite and I have plans to head out to Bloomfield Hills to see "Driving Lessons," Rupert Grint's new movie. I'm so excited it's ridiculous.

Shirtless!Rupert, here I come!

...Hmm. Maybe that wasn't the best choice of words.
sexyscholar: (Narnia - EATED HER WITCHFACE.)
New layout. Again. Making that header nearly killed me. But I love it so much.

So, I've added The Chronicles of Narnia to my mighty list of obsessions. It's a truly amazing film. Ya rly.

And of course, there's a hot boy attached, too. One Mr. William Moseley, who plays Peter Pevensie. Now, I find the character of Peter kind of a putz. He's got this whole, "I'm the eldest so I'm always right" thing going, and that irritates me. And I LOL @ Aslan calling him "Sir Peter Wolfsbane."

I will always refer to him as "Sir Peter of the Lucky Break."

If you've read the book or seen the movie, you'll get what I mean.

But still. The guy that plays him?

Good God. )

I think I want to start writing again. Being the beta for [livejournal.com profile] throbb and a smut!muse for [livejournal.com profile] stuckinsea has got me tinkering with yummy smutty idears. Before it was easy...I had nothing to do. A husband and 3 children later, issa not so easy. But the desire is there, so I may give it a try.

Rediscovered Ben Folds. He performed on Henry Rollins' talk show last Sunday and I remembered how fabulous he is. Now I'm stuck in the album, Whatever & Ever Amen.

I've somehow managed to break the underwire in my bra. I don't know how I did this. And I'm not impressed. *>:( @ boobiez*

That's it. Maybe one day I'll have real content again.
