kieran is four years old today.

FOUR.

when the hell did that happen? he's growing up so fast.

next year he'll be staring kindergarten and i'll have to get him a little backpack and put him on a bus and wave bye-bye to him and then run behind them to meet him at school and take a picture of him sitting at his desk and fkjasf'lslfkjalfjkas;fkj;asfkjs

kendra had her first pizza-bone today:

kenners crawled for the first time yesterday. usually, she'd push herself up on her hands and then just lie back down, but she actually got her knees under her and crawled.

of course, i didn't get to see it because i was at work. bleh.

but still, yay for crawling!

now if we can just keep the carpet free of "floor fruit."

kendra has discovered that she can shriek. this is the most wonderful discovery yet. i found out while i was holding her yesterday and she SHRIEKED in my ear so loud i just knew that someone had a little kendra voodoo doll and was stabbing it in its head.

and

fmh goes, "yeah. that's her new thing."

oh, i hope this lasts forever.

kenni is five months old today. :)

last night i rented 'watchmen' because i won't have enough funds to buy it until tomorrow. kieran was watching it with us, sort of.
he's only 3, so he doesn't get a lot of it.

anyway, when ozy came up on the dvd menu,

fmh asked him who it was, and kieran said, "'das ozymandias."
this didn't surprise me -- i've taught him the names of all the watchmen because he asked me. :shrugs:

what completely blew my mind was that not a minute after he said "ozymandias,"
he said "david bowie."

you would never know that he banged up his face almost beyond recognition a few weeks ago.

the girls just called; they've landed safe and sound in hawaii. and got presents already!

&hearts&hearts&hearts

kieran's home from the hospital. he's got a concussion, and he's pretty badly banged up, but he's going to be okay. thankfully nothing is broken, and the cat scan came back clean. right now, he's just really tired and groggy, which is understandable, given the circumstances.

:sigh of relief:

kieran's taken a tumble down the stairs.

from what

fmh is telling me, he was pushing kendra in her stroller, pushed it too far, stroller went down the stairs and he held on to it to try and stop it.

kendra is fine.

kieran's got a pretty nasty abrasion on the left side of his face, and the area around his eye is swollen. they've taken him to university of michigan children's hospital where they're going to run a cat scan along with some other tests, i'm sure. the emts didn't seem to think that it was serious, calling the ambulance was a 'better to be safe than sorry' measure. my mother has gone to the hospital with him, so

fmh could stay here with the baby and to keep the girls from freaking out. i just got home from work -- trying to stay positive and not freak out myself.

ooo excitement.

fmh just emailed me to tell me that Kendra rolled over for the first time.

so happy because it happened.

and really sad because i missed it.

well, i'm sure i'll get to see it before she goes to college. :p

Kendra turned 3 months old yesterday.

she's changed so much.

oh. and she has a favorite band already.
