oops upside the head

kieran's taken a tumble down the stairs.

from what fmh is telling me, he was pushing kendra in her stroller, pushed it too far, stroller went down the stairs and he held on to it to try and stop it.

kendra is fine.

kieran's got a pretty nasty abrasion on the left side of his face, and the area around his eye is swollen. they've taken him to university of michigan children's hospital where they're going to run a cat scan along with some other tests, i'm sure. the emts didn't seem to think that it was serious, calling the ambulance was a 'better to be safe than sorry' measure. my mother has gone to the hospital with him, so fmh could stay here with the baby and to keep the girls from freaking out. i just got home from work -- trying to stay positive and not freak out myself.

Oh Lawdy. That very thing happened to my mom when she was tiny! My grandma was pushing my mom in the stroller and it went down some stairs. But my mom broke her nose in the process, poor baby my-mom!! I'm so glad Kendra is OK, and Kieran will tough it out too.

I've been a mom for 7 months, and I already know that kids are put on this earth to give us grey hair! Sheesh what a scare!

My little brother went down the basement stairs in one of those "walkers" that they don't even sell anymore. And, uh, I later tipped the same brother out of his stroller, giving him a bruised front tooth which he sported until it fell out years leter.

Poor Kieran. He's in good hands though!
