Ok, so do I need to read these damn Twilight books?

I know the gist of the story and that Edward Cullen is a dazzling vampire who will cut your brakes because he loves you, even if it's not even fucking raining. ORRRRRR. I could have all of that wrong, too. I don't know WTF is going on.

Srsly, are they worth reading?

TELL ME TELL ME.

This is the header over at [livejournal.com profile] rpattz_trufax. IDK who made it, but it's FANTASTIC, Y/Y?

They're so bad that I wish I could get the time back that I wasted reading them

They suck you in! They're like the mob. When you think you're out, they pull you back in.

^ Pretty much what I've heard. I haven't felt the urge to read them at all because all I heard about was how crappy the writing was (some have wondered how it even made it past an editor) and how, despite the crappiness, it sucks you in and you trudge through praying and hoping it gets better. And it doesn't.

*shrugs*

Probably should just wait for the movie. If nothing else, you'd have R. Pattz to look at, lol.

They are...cracktastic. I love writing fic in the fandom, but I tend to mostly write missing scenes and fix-it fic.

Avoid those. You'll want to pummel the main chick, 'cause she's a putz.

NO.

I don't read the books but I know more than enough about it lawl (my friend's kinda obsessed) and the entire plot/story makes me TWITCH. The book lover in me feels insulted that it's considered a bestseller when there's one sue after another in it.

I have to fully agree with [livejournal.com profile] fuileachd on this one, Mo. Though I did try reading the first chapter, because a friend of mine is obsessed with it as well, I couldn't get past the bad descriptions, her trying to be so mysterious about it and her prose was just horrible. But then again everyone seems to say, you have to get past the first book...the rest are better. Seriously, if I can't get past the first chapter, there's a problem. I know Robert Pattison is in there and you lurve him...but seriously I couldn't get into the book and doubt so much that I would watch the movie, even if Robert is in it...I couldn't stand it.

Wow, that's a lot of dislike...lol. Who knows, you might like it.
