i need some lj help.

okay. so i need to make some sort of sticky/sticky-ish post in a community, but you can't use the 'date out of order' function in communities.

does anyone know, or have links to a workaround, or maybe have an idea of something i can try to have essentially the same effect?

I think I remember reading that in order for that to work, it had to be smooth sailing? I think it was this community, they were having a layout contest and needed smooth sailing so the post could work. Also, found this link...hopefully it will help :)
