so.

i saw sondre lerche in concert last friday.

omg you guys.

i. i can't even.

He was absolutely bloody fucking amazing, okay? I. He. Oh man.

Okay, before I go into complete spaz mode over his set, I should mention his opening act, JBM, who is phenomenal. Heartfelt singing and songwriting, lush melodies. :swoon: His set actually brought me to tears at one point.

Go check him out -- he really is wonderful.

:breathes:

Okay.

Sondre.

I didn't think I could love his tiny little Norwegian self anymore, but I was wrong. He did a one-man set, with the help of some sort of background sound machine (I couldn't see it from where I was, but I could hear it), and he was so engaging that I'm not sure if I even blinked. He did most of the songs from "Heartbeat Radio" including "If Only," which is my personal favorite (why did I nearly die when he said 'hip hop?' IDK.) He was funny and quirky and telling stories throughout the whole set. It was just a joy to watch him up there.

The best part was undoubtedly the encore where he played "Modern Nature" and had us all singing the Lillian Samdal part with him...we were a pretty good sounding group, actually. I think he should come back to Cleveland and scoop us all up to go on tour with him. :)

It was a great night, and I'm thrilled that I got to go.

And now, pictures!

And oh yes.

Did I mention that I got to meet him?

OMFGASDFJKL; I GOT TO MEET SONDRE LERCHE. He's as adorable in person as I thought he would be. Really.

(Plz to be ignoring how ridiculous I look.)

He signed my copy of "Heartbeat Radio."

And then I left the club and promptly squeed until my fangirly heart popped out of my chest. ♥

It was a great time.

It was! He's very affable and sweet and really appreciative of his fans, so it was a real treat to get to talk to him for a minute. ♥
