just heard back from the ipod guys about my poor sirveaux. like i feared, it would cost more to get him fixed than it would to buy a new one. so it looks like i'll be buying a new one. :sob:

can i still buy 3rd gen ipods? i've used the 4th gen, and i didn't really care for it.

although, the 4th gen does come in purple...
