so here's mine.

I made this one myself; it's from my favorite shot of Ozymandias. It's also one of my favorite parts of the movie, plot-wise. At this point, he's fairly idealistic in his belief that he and a little band of masks can save the world, and is pulled up short when he realizes, begrudgingly, that the Comedian is right -- it's human nature to seek to destroy ourselves, and there's nothing he can do about it. One of the reasons I love the Ozymandias character is his duality -- he's done this terrible, terrible thing, but *he* thinks it's for all the right reasons. And it's Matthew, for God's sake.

I saw it four times, and would see it a few more if it was still playing in theatres. Alas, I think we will have to wait until it comes out on DVD July 21.

BUT I'M NOT COUNTING THE DAYS OR ANYTHING. 42 DAYS, 12 HOURS, 8 MINUTES

Admittedly, I originally went to see it with my hubby because he's such a fan of the graphic novel. I had not expected to love it so much, or to be introduced to Matthew Goode and fall hopelessly in lust with his fierce bitch self.

Damn. I WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN RIGHT NOW.

Man, had Comedian just been a little more open to Ozy's advances, so much could've been avoided. Underneath it all, Watchmen is a story about unrequited love. :p
