Well. I suppose she is. A very hungry little angel.

Life at home with the newest Bain has been mostly quiet -- until she decides that she's ready to eat, and then hell hath no fury like, y'know? She's usually content with the bottle, but sometimes, like last night, nothing but the boob will do. It's a new experience for me, since I wasn't able to breastfeed Kieran: my milk really didn't come down with him despite our efforts (getting him to suckle, skin to skin bonding, etc.).

With Kendra, though, the opposite has happened. I feel like a freaking milkmaid. Any suggestions on where I can find full-figure (40D) nursing bras?

Anyhoo, besides her Herculean appetite, there isn't much to report. She's very healthy and alert. And pretty. I'm biased, of course, but I did good. :p

I'm so tired.

I was able to get a nursing bra from the JC Penney catalog. You probably want one a little quicker than that, though...umm.

There's a place in Royal Oak called Bra-vo that does bra fittings, and they also stock all kinds of bras in all kinds of sizes - they use the same fitting system as the "bra whisperer" Carson takes people to on How To Look Good Naked. I keep meaning to go there. Worst case, they should be able to alter a regular bra for nursing.

As for nursing bras? The absolute best by a mile (and I wore 40DDD) were Wacoal. None of the others were comfortable or had reall support. They're expensive, but worth it. I did manage to find them New on ebay and bought a few more less than retail after I bought the first one at Nordstrom.

How are you sweetie? I was just scrolling through my flist for the first time in about a month and thought 'ooh, baby'! And then it hit me that it was your baby!! (been off-line awhile and completely lost the plot re what month it is and whatnot!).

Aw Mona, she's absolutely beautiful. And I bet she has that new baby smell too, doesn't she?! The kind of smell that only little babies have and it makes you want to kiss them on their little baby forehead or the very top of their little baby head. And she probably does that thing that little babies do, when they wrap their little hand around your finger. And I bet she also does that little baby sigh when she's falling asleep right after getting a full belly. :::sigh::: Gods how I miss those days sometimes. :)

By the way, speaking of living vicariously through friends, I just found out that Kelley is pregnant. And did I tell you that Vanessa just had a baby in December. (Do you remember Vanessa? she lives in NY now.) Seems like my friends are all having babies at the same time. I just love it!

Thank you, Sis. :) She does have the new baby smell: an oddly pleasing mix of baby powder and formula...it's weird. She does wrap her hand around people's fingers sometimes, but she's much more content to suck on her hands instead. Her hands are also her worst enemy -- they're constantly getting in the way when I try to nurse or give her a bottle. It's frustrating!

Congratulations to Kelley and Vanessa! Of course I remember them. Are these first babies for them?
