Breathe. Relax. The polls are open until 8. You've got plenty of time. Your family will not let you nap until it's too late to get there. And for all that people are bragging about getting to the polls before they open, your vote cast at 7 pm counts just as much as their vote at 7 am.
(And it's conceivable that if you call your local campaign office and tell them "3 voters, no car" they will have someone pick y'all up...they do that kind of stuff. :) )
I'm so goddamned excited/nervous/terrified, you guys
I voted early, but I still feel excited/nervous/terrified, so you're definitely not alone. Regardless of what time you go to vote, you're VOTING. That's ALL that matters. Some of my family members & co-workers have chosen to not excercise their right to vote. Some of them aren't even registered. Be proud that you are choosing to vote, no matter what time you get there.
