I know this must come as a huge shock to all of you. But I felt that, in the spirit of Clay's disclosure, I must come clean.

Okay, but seriously. WHO IN THE FRICKETY FRICK DID HE THINK THIS WAS GOING TO SHOCK? I don't even WATCH American Idol (ok, except for that one time when DanRad was supposed to be on there, but then they cut his bit and left me a cold, hollow, bitter shell of my former self) and I knew that frosty-haired mofo was gay.

Oh, I know. My first thought was, "Damn, Kathy Griffin won't have any more Clay Gay-ken jokes... Oh, who am I kidding?"

At least with Lance Bass, there was some actual speculation. With Clay, it was more like, "Well, DUH. What, Clay, did someone forget to give you the memo?"

Actually we had a similar 'revelation' over here with Will Young (he won Pop Idol a few years back - I voted for him 5 times and I HATE these shows with a vengence) and I thought the same - what idiot ever thought he was straight? Also kinda reminds me of George Michael's 'coming out'...Nooooo, really??!

I remember when that happened. One of my very bestest friends had a crush on him and was stunned when George "came out."

My response was, "You mean you *didn't* know? Have you not *seen* the 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' video?"

I love George Michael and everything, but yeah. SO. GAY.

Did you hear he was recently arrested again? In a public restroom? You'd think he'd have learned about that shit by now...

George just doesn't seem to understand the concept of 'public convenience', does he? I'd be quite cross with him (I mean, come on the guy's loaded, does he really have to slum it in a public loo for whatever reason?) but the disarming way he apologised for 'boring' people again won me over (that and his appearence on 'Extras' - anyone who can take the piss out of themselves is okay by me ;).

I can still remember seeing Wham's first ever performance on Top of The Pops (legendary long-running pop show over here) singing Young Guns and discussing it at school the next day - my friends and I all agreed he was very cool...shame he was so obviously gay (yeh, I was just a kid and yet to discover the slash love ;). I spent the next few years saying to my Wham-obsessed sister "You do know he's gay, right?" But then she also loved Gary Glitter and Michael Jackson *cough*

Coming out about Rupert is a big step in your recovery. If you need help I'm here for you since I too am deeply in love with this man.

I use to like Clay and knew the moment I saw him he was gay and was happy he was doing well soon after, but holy shit! He went all freaky and got all into himself and then pretended he wasn't gay. But maybe Kathy can go see him now and get all gay friend with him?
