Did you know that Forest Whitaker was originally cast as Sawyer on Lost?

FOREST? AS SAWYER?

omg.

I mean. Don't get me wrong -- I LOVELOVELOVE FOREST WHITAKER. "Bird?" Oh yes. His role as Kavanaugh on "The Shield?" Stellar. "The Last King of Scotland?" If you haven't seen that, you NEED to. Oh my stars, he was so amazing in that film.

But. Sawyer?

I just can't get my head around that.

Well, I'm sure they had a radically different idea for Sawyer when they cast him, obvs. The whole Sawyer/Kate/Jack lurve triangle would REALLY be weird.

All I can figure is that they must have had a *totally* different idea for the character when they originally cast him.

And then they got Josh Holloway, and decided to really play on both his acting talent and MASSIVE hawtness.

But now, I kinda want to see Forest on the show playing some totally new character -- preferably someone who slaps Jack and tells him to man the hell up, lol.

I totally want Forest Whitaker to play another part on Lost now, though. They need another strong black character on that show ASAP. I don't know if Abbadon is coming back since Lance Reddick is on "Fringe" now...
