I love this crowd. So much.
So, it's that time again. The gang and I are here at B-Fest down at Northwestern University in Evanston, just outside of Chicago.
It's been a pretty pleasant trip thus far, with the exception of spending nearly two hours on the "expressway" once we got into Chicago. Feh.
The movie line-up has been acceptable...by B-Fest standards. I've seen the two movies I really wanted to catch with this crowd: Barbarella and Xanadu, the sountrack to which I will be singing FOR THE REST OF THE FRAKKING DAY OMG. I also got to see
rockcandy76 again, so that was very cool. I think we've been at the same B-Fest for years now, but we didn't officially meet until last year. D'oh!
A special treat: one of the films on the lineup, Empire of the Ants, isn't screening properly, so they're replacing it with Lone Wolf McQuade, which is my FAVORITEST CHUCK NORRIS MOVIE EVER. And yes, Virginia, you can have such a thing as a favorite Chuck Norris movie.
I didn't win anything in the raffle this year, but my brother "won" some god-awful made for TV movie starring Tom Skerritt and a cast of...ones.
fmh continues his streak of wins (he's picked up something for each of the five years we've attended), scooping up a 6-CD set of B-worthy music tracks.
Xanadu...Xanadu-ooh-ooh...
