I totally sat and watched American Idol last night, because danradcliffe.uk has posted a report that he had done pre-recorded bit for their "Idol Gives Back" campaign.

Well, for whatever reason, they didn't air it. >:|

So I sat through two frakkin' hours for pretty much nothing. Well, the "Staying Alive" bit was kind of funny because Hugh Laurie was in it, and Josh Groban is always awesome, but I wouldn't have waited two hours for those things.

It looks as though it's been chalked up to not having enough time to run it. Bleh.

Oh well. What's really important is that it's all for an absolutely necessary cause, and they raised nearly $30 million for one.org. Amazing.

I'm just glad it wasn't Rupert scheduled to be on there...I probably would have thrown things.

Oh! And not only was there no DanRad, but all of the AI contestants were deemed "safe" because it was a charity event.

Now, I don't regularly watch the show, so I interpreted that to mean:

"Because we love the children, we won't dropkick your no-talent ass this week."

GOD YES. I watched "American Idol" last night, and what annoyed me the most were the kids crying on cue. It could be real? Then again it most likely could not be. Either way, it literally made me put down my credit card when it started with that family where the parents died, and the twelve-year-old started bawling after Simon asked if he missed his parents.

There was a scene when they were in the village, and Simon's just standing there in this white t-shirt, and I SWEAR TO GOD I was expecting him to start rubbing his man-boobs.

AHAHAHAHFSHFSHFSH. And sad as it is? I'd rather see him rubbing his boobs than his girlfriend.

Simon, a humanitarian???

It was a first for me to see AI after a long time...

When I saw Simon talking to an African family I thought the world turned upside down. Then he told the family that the sick person should be brought to the hospital already... I felt my heart melted that moment.

But then I saw him walking steadily behind the African man who obviously had a difficult time carrying the poor, sick lady. I wanted to smack Simon's head cos he could've helped him in carrying the lady. Hmpf!!!

Anyway, the outreach program was good. :)
