Aaaaaaaaaaand...no.

So.
About 10:30 last night, I started having contractions. They were pretty intense -- coming about 4 to 5 minutes apart, and lasting about 4 minutes each. There was a pretty consistent pattern going there, so a lot of folks (myself included) thought it was go time.
I had these contractions for about 4 hours. And then...nothing. They just stopped.
mightyafrodite stayed over to take me to the horse-spit-all.
crwilley and
dadandgirl took Malu to their house to spend the night there so that she wouldn't get scared from seeing me huffing and puffing (
hoku_star wants to be in the room when Ky is born). All for naught. Still no baby.
Depressed am I.
The triage nurse seems to think that the contractions was Ky turning himself around to the right position. Babies, if everything goes normally, will turn themselves so that not only are they head first, but they will also face the mom's tailbone. They slide out "easier" that way.
So, while the contractions didn't produce a baby, hopefully they did make some progress. I'm going to take
elspethsheyna's advice in a bit and go for a little walk. My brother and I took Malu to the park yesterday...that may have been what sparked the contractions I had. She and
hexslinger are also going to bring their exercise/birthing ball with them when they come over for the Torg game tomorrow for me to use.
*sigh*
Hopefully it won't be too much longer.
