Wanna know what I got?

I walked past a used bookstore, and it was in the window. I honestly squealed when I saw it, but I kept on walking. I got to the curb and said to myself "fuck it," and went back for it. It cost me $7.50, which is a STEAL.
I grew up reading Richard Scarry books. They always held a special magic for me. Of course they were cute and cartoony, but they were also full of knowledge and wonder. His books didn't patronize children.
Richard Scarry spoke our language.
'Busiest People Ever' is my second favorite Scarry book, the first being 'My House.'
I'll have to go back and see if I can find that one.
In the meantime, I'm so very happy.
*hugs her book*
