Aug. 26th, 2003 09:07 amI am actually drinking coffee.
A normal activity for a great deal of you...but not me. I avoid coffee, to be honest. It gives me hella bad indigestion. When I do drink it, I down two TUMS beforehand.
Yes.
I had an absotively terrible time spleeping last night. You know that point of exhaustion you reach when you're so tired that you can't sleep? That's where I was, and it is not a fun place.
Add one of my dearly beloved headaches, 100lb humidity and a bad case of stuffyheadedness and it was oh so much fun.
Finally, around 3:30 a.m., after I-don't-know-how-many hours of agony, I sprayed some Afrin into my nose. The left sinus passage was fine, but when I sprayed it into the right, it felt like a acid laser beam had shot directly into my headache. It hurt so bad, my eyes teared up and I actually stumbled backward.
I sat up a little while longer, waiting for the Afrin to kick in. I could feel it trying to pry open my right sinus passage, and I imagined an Afrin-mist fist, poking and punching at this blockage trying to help me breathe.
The little mist fist finally broke through. I think I just passed out after that. The last time I remember was 4:07 a.m.
Then back up at 6:30 a.m. Whee.
I'm running on a good two and a half hours of sleep, and *gulp* a dose of caffeine.
I am so ready for the day.
*thonk*

Normally, I don't have allergies. They've just never affected me, or if I did, I didn't notice.
Today? My nose is running like I'm a frippin' coke fiend.
And my right eye keeps watering.
Meh.
Screw this ambient music shit, it's putting me to sleep. *changes CDs*
(...but on another note...oooh pretty Barry...)
