Oh dude, I totally understand where you're coming from. The thing people forget when they write H/D is that Draco is an asshole and is always going to be an asshole, whether he's ~in love~ or not. Being with someone might have him tone down his assholery a little bit, but really, not by much.
And as for Lucius, I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE DO THAT AND IT APSKFLSJF PISSES ME OFF. That's why I hate writers like slashpervert because the way she writes her H/D makes me want to punch the wall. Every single fic, either one or both of the boys are ~*~*~emotionally crippled~*~*~ and if it's Draco, well of COURSE it's Daddy's fault. :| (And it could not be made clearer that HEY YEAH LUCIUS ACTUALLY DOES ~*~CARE~*~ ABOUT HIS FAMILY, GUYS, or did no one pay attention to the last couple of books?)
Yeah that motif is horrible and overused, I really hate it. B|
I think I've read some of her fic. :D (If not, I will in a bit, lol.) I understand what you mean though, definitely. And one of the things about H/D is that it's one of those pairings in which there is a lot of shit to sift through in order to get to the really good stuff.
