...I wonder what a 1-week-old dreams about.

He's eating like a piggy. He's gained 5 ounces since Tuesday. Riddikulus. His doc gave him the once-over yesterday; he's healthy as a horse (just how healthy are horses, anyway?). Always good to hear.

Malu has her "Fall Party" tomorrow. Their school doesn't celebrate Halloween, so I think this is as close to it as her teacher can get without ticking anyone off. I can't make the trek, but I believe fmh will be in attendance so Malu can show off her "big, strong dad." :)

hoku_star has decided to join the junior Girl Scouts. So far, I'm not really pleased with the way they're handling things. Way too short a notice for meetings...initially, they weren't sure if there were going to be meeting because they didn't have a second troop leader for the group. They have a meeting, and let us know that afternoon. Thanks for the heads-up. Then they want them to fund-raise, so they give them these magazine subscription packets to pimp...and they only get a week to do it. Grr. But, it's something hoku_star really wants to do, so like in everything else, I'm behind her %110. (Also, Malu wants to join the Daisy Scouts, which is the kindergarten version. I'm all for that. The only problem is they have yet to find a person to lead the troop. No troop leader means no meetings. Of course, they tell us this after they get the kids all jazzed up about being Daisies. And collecting the $10 registration fee. Grrr.)

Time to root around for something to eat. Maybe the chocolate chip peanut butter cookies that elspethsheyna made for me. Mmmm...cookies.
