It's 2:46 a.m. Do you know where your children are?

We do. They're sitting up watching Teamo Supremo.

Why are they both up?

Hoku has been horribly sick all night. She's been retching over and over again. She can't even keep down water right now. She's tired and weak and nearly jaundiced. fmh and I are sitting up with her.

So worried about my baby.

Malu's up too. She doesn't appear to be sick; Malu can shake sickness off somehow. Good immune system, thank goodness. Her main concern when she first woke up was that Hoku got to stay up and she didn't. I think she understands now that her sister is sick.

fmh and Hoku have made a deal. If she can go an hour without retching again, she'll try to lay down. I think she's worried that she'll throw up on everything.

I keep telling her, "That's what they make showers and washing machines for."

Hopefully, the retching is over for the night, and she'll be able to get some real sleep. She's so tired. She keeps falling asleep holding her bucket.

If this keeps going, tomorrow we'll need to try to get some Pedialyte, so she won't dehydrate.
