You and your daughter are amazing! Omg I know it's about R/D lovin' but omg I can't help but go beyond that and admire you for being an amazing mom and your daughter for actually dipping in and trying (and she will get better as time goes <3).
Wow. Your daughter is already writing R/D? What a marvelous, and oh-so-you thing to have happen. Congrats to her and for letting us know about it! I did have to laugh at the "no NC-17" comment. I really didn't have any true clue about that kind of stuff until about age 14 or 15, but I was also a late bloomer. ;)
I'm sorry I'm doing this in a comment but due to many reasons I tend to not acknowledge b-days. But I did try to send you something but lj and my accounts got wonky and I gave up. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Can I just say I admire you as a mum so much. And you must be so bloody proud right now! That drabble rocked :)
Your daughter has clearly inherited her mum's writing talent.
Most of all I just think it's amazing that she can share this with you. I find myself fighting against my own fairly repressed Catholic upbringing a great deal lately, especially in relation to my own two daughter - 6&8 years - so my admiration for you holds no bounds. I try to be as open and upfront with them about things, including discussing homosexuality etc but I haven't braved the whole 'slash' thing yet.
It's pretty awesome that you've been able to share your love of writing and fandom with her! Hee, still trying to get my little girl excited about reading. Writing is totally going to be the next step. ;)
