sure, i know i have worthy plot in me somewhere, and the moment it decides to manifest itself is one that i look forward to with great hope.
but for now, i'll write porn, and i'm not going to beat myself up about it. because -- and i'm not a braggadocious person AT ALL -- but i think i can write some pretty hot goddamned sex, and i should be proud of it.
i don't know why i said all that, and this post may very well disappear tomorrow. i'm tired, and i should probably go to bed.
after i serve up my kabobs in cafe' world first. :p

Anyway, you do have plot and great characterisation and dialogue. The smex is descriptive and it's all clear and visual. You could use all those elements to describe something different but (luckily for us) you also have dirty, horny plot bunnies! Yay!
I don't know why pwps don't always get the kudos they deserve. It's probably embarrassment.

I can think of plots fairly easily as well...it's writing them and making it all mesh together that give me trouble. :(
:preens:
Thank you, BB. I try my best to get the characterizations right. It drives me nuts when I read fanfiction and the writer has completely changed the core character just to make them fit into whatever story they're telling (i.e. Draco suddenly being a nice guy and realizing that Harry is his TWOO LUV. UGH, DO NOT WANT.). I read it thinking things like, "This is not what Draco would say AT ALL," or "Gah, why have you made Ron such a sucky baby about everything?"
but (luckily for us) you also have dirty, horny plot bunnies!
I do. Those little buggers work overtime, I swear. As you know, I managed to talk myself into some R/D alley!sex, so I think I'm going to have to write a smutty drabble about it. :p
