So "Watchmen" was FUCKING awesome.

I can't comment on how faithful it was to the original comic because I've never read it - DON'T JUDGE ME - but I know awesome fucking movies when I see them, and this was an awesome fucking movie. Surprisingly (for me), I saw WAY more than I needed to of Dr. Manhattan's famous blue superdong. I'm buying him a lifetime supply for Fruit of the Looms.

I even brought home a new and surely unhealthy crush! Adrian Veidt. Good God. Was he supposed to remind me of David Bowie? Because he did. He was too hot for words. Oh Ozy, you had me 35 minutes ago.

And Rorschach is my hero. Srsly. I want to bring him to Parent's Day or something.

Fucking awesome movie. I want to see it everyday.

yes it was pretty faithful to the source material
except for the assault which is blamed on fake aliens (orchestrated by veidt)in the comic instead of ole blue eyes

Yeah, my husband told me about that, but I think the way they chose to end it was probably more palatable.

I suspect that the comic's ending would have been a little too fantastic for the gritty tone of the movie.

Apparently, given the opportunity to put himself back together in any form he chose, Dr. Manhattan did a little....self-actualizing, we'll call it. :)

I just saw it last night, and wow... Loved it!

Rorschach was just amazing.

I was good with Dr. Manhattan... seems we're finally getting some gender equality. ;) Frontal nudity for women has been acceptable for ages, so why not male?

Adrian Veidt though...god he was an evil motherfucker. I want to punch him. Nite Owl didn't punch him enough to satisfy me.

Did you see Ziggy Stardust David Bowie at the beginning? It was the scene that had the Village People during the credits.

Yeah, Nite Owl could've worked him over a little more, but I kind of got the feeling that Veidt liked it, which did absolutely nothing to assuage my lust for the character. Veidt was a truly evil mofo -- I accept that. Didn't change the fact that I totally wanted to bone him, though. :is hopeless:
