I'm flying to Washington DC in a little more than two weeks to spend a week with mightyafrodite. We're already squeeing about it. There will be much movie-watching and fanmixing and guh-ing about music and boys and Ron/Draco and art and YAY.

I've missed her so much. :p

Eep. Can you believe this will be the first time I've been on a plane? Yes.

I'm sure as hell going to try. This will be the first time I've taken more than a day or two off in years. And the first vacation I've ever been on without my husband and kids.

We live in Georgetown... and know about the area very well to make suggestions if you need them. I am sure you will be fine with your friend though.

Actually, I'm from Maryland - born in Baltimore, 10 years in Annapolis and then back to Baltimore...it'll be like Old Home Week. I'd be glad to hear some suggestions, though. I have really *visited* in years -- I'm sure stuff has changed. :)

Hee! Yup, I remember that one. Draco's crisp white shirt in the third panel killed me; I remember that specifically. ^__^

My favorite of hers is the commission she did for me. Have you seen that one? I didn't see it in her deviantART gallery which is a shame, because it's so gorgeous. The icon I used is made from another one of her pieces. She's one of our R/D art goddesses.

Have fun! I loved D.C. and hope to go again. That's cool you can meet up with your friend and fly for the first time. Be sure to take gum with you on the plane. If that's even allowed these days.

Things have been so hectic and crazy-busy that I haven't logged on to LJ in WEEKS, so I'm just now reading about your trip. Would love to see you while you're in the area. If you let me know a bit in advance, I can probably make arrangements to meet up with you & S somewhere, or have you both over for lunch/dinner, or do our usual "haven't seen you in too long, so let's stay up ALL night talking about EVERYTHING" kinda thing, or whatever. :)
