I love his duality, the fact that he thinks this awful thing he's done is good, that it's for the right reasons. He really does, in his very twisted way, want to achieve world peace. It's his arrogance. He thinks he's the only one who knows how to manipulate people because he's "The Smartest Man in the World" and he does. And then he takes out the one person who recognizes him for exactly what he is, drives away the one person who can be blamed for what he did, causes the one person who has the guts to reveal his plans to be killed, and allows two other people to live the lives they've always wanted. Okay, that last bit was good.
