Huh.

I feel a little guilty that the movie I'm looking forward to seeing the most this year is NOT Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but the new Star Trek movie coming out in May.

Star Trek.

I mean, not that they're not both going to be extremely awesome, but...you know me. I usually get all dfka;'askl over HP (and yes, especially Rupert), but it's just not there right now. I think that bullshit pushback on the release date really left a bad taste.

Now? Simon Pegg as Scotty is what I'm all a-flail about.

I lurve Simon. He's so goofy hot.

And Zachary Quinto going all SylarSpock on Kirk? ZOMG.

I kinda feel like I'm cheating a little bit. o_O

I'm so out of it— or unawares. Had no idea! Am loving the young Spock! Wow! Definitely something to look forward to. I've just fallen so far away from HP, especially after the delayed newest movie. I second your disappointment and stuff. I did see another flister talking about "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" which has its appeal. I mean, vampires and werewolves? Hmmm. Reminds me of my poor lingering original fic story. :(

Any other recs, film-wise?

INORITE? I already have a crush on Zachary Quinto from watching him playing Sylar on Heroes, but seeing him play young Spock? My FLAV-O-RITE character from Star Trek? Oh man.

The "possibility of explosion" is high. And Simon Pegg as young!Scotty just makes me squee with delight.

The new Underworld movie, eh? I've only seen the very first one, and I wasn't too impressed by it. The whole "vampires are sleek & sexy and werewolves are dirt" vibe it put out got on my nerves.

Reminds me of my poor lingering original fic story. :(

I do hope you'll find the inspiration to start on that again. I remember enjoying the bit of it you'd shared before. :)

Sadly I don't have any other film recs. My list of must-sees is woefully short -- the only things I really want to see right now are Star Trek and HBP.

And Twilight, but that's for an entirely different reason, lol. :p
